About Go Go Curry

Go Go Curry

Go! Go! Curry! serves Kanazawa-style curry originating from Kanazawa-city, Ishikawa prefecture. Our curry style is a dark and thick curry sauce served over a Japanese premium short grain rice, with a side of very thinly shredded cabbage, all topped with Hand-Breaded Pork, Chicken, or Tofu Katsu – a crispy, deep-fried cutlet made to order!

5 is pronounced “GO” in Japanese and we are named after former baseball legend, Hideki Matsui’s jersey number of 55, as he is a proud hero originating from the Kanazawa area. Special dishes at Go!Go!Curry! are called Home Run, Grand Slam and World Champion, to pay tribute, as we continue to move forward and expand nationwide.

Go! Go! CURRY! is delicious and freshly made, yet quick, and high-quality. We make our curry using the 55 process, 5 hours to stew and 55 hours to mature before serving. That is why all the ingredients are all melded together and the sauce is thick like gravy. We use sushi quality premium short grain rice, which is well-known as the best match to curry, and is tasty even when it cools. All of the toppings are prepared at the store and deep-fried at time of order.
